Phase One
Let us begin our Journey

Go to the Hall of Heroes, Click on the Button next to the Janitor
he will say the following:

If you go before you see the AA you will get this

"I TOLD YOU! It doesn't do anything!! Why did you push it anyway?! RAARGH!!" The Janitor flails his mop around angrily.
Now you need to go to the Altadorian Achieves.

In the Altadorian Archives are the repository of all Altadorian knowledge, science, and history. Thousands of books and scrolls populate its shelves.
Here you will find Finneus, the head Archivist

Finneus, will not let you do anything until you go to the Hall of Heroes and click the Button next to the Janitor.

The archivist says, "Yes, I'm using that book to stabilize this table. The bottom of the table leg is perfectly flat, but it's exactly three inches short If only I had something to replace it..."
The archivist says, "You can't have that book! I'm using it to stabilize the table."

Clue: Three Inches Short (What does this mean?)

Go to the rock Quarry and get rock!

Perfectly Flat Rock Quarry

In the Main Map on the Bottom/center, toward the Left where there is a bunch of trees right outside the City there is a link that goes to the Quarry.

Rock is located at the Top Right hand side

Rock #1
You find a Perfectly Flat
Three-Inch Rock. How extraordinary!

Now you need to Go back to the
Altadorian Archives so that you can replace the Book with the Rock

You replace the book with the Perfectly Flat Three-Inch Rock. It's an exact fit, and the table is completely stable!

The archivist says, "What a fascinating book. It appears to be completely blank, except for a prologue! Why would someone print a mostly blank book?"

Examine Book #1
In the middle of the images you need to click on the magnifying glass to examine the Book of Ages

PROLOGUE
Long ago, before the building of our great city, twelve heroes arose. Each was famous for different deeds of varying natures. The greatest of these heroes is the one whom we now know as King Altador. He, with the aid of the other heroes, founded our illustrious city by the sea.

Page 3
Before the Great Betrayal, the kingdom of Altador was one of the most glorious places in all Neopia. It was a centre of culture and greatly admired for its dignified citizens. Those blessed times were nearly lost when one of our own, who once called herself an ally and friend to the heroes, turned her heart to darkness and attempted to destroy the city. Only by Jerdana's magic were we saved, though our future remains uncertain.

Within this tome you will find the recorded history of the twelve heroes and how they came to form the Kingdom of Altador. Protect this knowledge well, for it may be all that is left if Jerdana's magic fails and the betrayer succeeds....

After reading the book go back to Hall of Heroes to see the Janitor

The archivist says, Yes, that button in the Hall of Heroes... the Janitor has spoken to me about it. I'm not sure what it's supposed to do, either, or how to fix it... perhaps there's a book here in the archives that might tell me something.

The Janitor If you go before you see the AA you will get this

If you go to him before talking to the Archivist, you will get this response.

The button here is supposed to do something, but can't figure out what."

You push the button. Nothing appears to happen.

"I TOLD YOU! It doesn't do anything!! Why did you push it anyway?! RAARGH!!" The Janitor flails his mop around angrily.

After reading the Book that you got from the AA the Janitor will respond Like this:

"You know, maybe the gears have just gotten dirty or seized up, it's been so long since the button was used. If there were some way to grease the gears, the button might do something again."

Need to find the oil for the Button

Click on each Statue until you come across the oil and rag

Behind the statue's base, you notice a jar of oil and a rag.

Now go back to the Janitor and he will tell you
"Oh, you found the oil I use to polish the plaques! Good idea! Maybe it can free up the gears. Go ahead and put some on the button mechanism, and we'll see what happens."

Click on the button

Suddenly, gears begin to grind, and the great ceiling above you opens up, admitting much more light to the room!

Janitor will tell you!

"Argh! Now it's light, and I'll have to go back to mopping instead of guarding this button! Curse you!" But you think he means "curse you" in a friendly way.

Go back to a statue and look at the Ceiling
Do this for all twelve Statues

Click on the top edge of the image of each Statue

Go back to the Statues and look for the stairs that are on the left hand side in the middle of the image by Statue #10

After climbing hundreds of stairs, you find yourself in some kind of dome-shaped room atop the Hall of Heroes.

Now go back to the Archivist and he will tell you
The archivist says, "Amazing! The ceiling of the Hall of Heroes opened? What a marvel! Perhaps there are some clues about the Book of Ages to be found there."

You should now have access to the Astronomy Club

Phase Three
The Sleeper

The Hall of Heroes now has an official sign on the map of Altador.
Go to the Restive Tomb

Notice the Dots on the Door!

CLICK THEM!!!

How strange. There seems to be some kind of pattern in the stonework on the front of the tomb doors. What could it mean?

Then go and talk to the Archivist Lenny.  He will say:

The archivist says, "A pattern of two lines, on the front of that old tomb? How intriguing. I wonder what it could refer to? Perhaps there is a matching pair of lines somewhere to be found.

Then Go back to the Observatory. Click on the telescope to load your scope.

Now it's time to map out the Constellation...

You can go to Maps and Such to see different ways to do so.

After you finish Mapping your Constellation go back to the Dark Faerie Statue and look at the ceiling.

Then go and talk to the Archivist Lenny.  He will say:

"Extraordinary! You've identified a constellation based on the..." He looks around suspiciously, and speaks low. "On the Darkest Faerie? Her eyes, in fact? This... how strange." He stops for a second, staring blankly. "You know, I'm having the oddest feeling, like this is familiar. There's something on the tip of my brain, some piece of information... what is it?" He shakes his head. "I just can't figure it out. Well, perhaps there are other constellations to be found."

The archivist shuffles over to the Book of Ages and flips it open. "Something else has happened, however, and it might be connected to your discovery of the constellation. A few more pages of the book have magically filled themselves in! It tells a story about the Darkest Faerie herself... from before. Before she turned evil, and betrayed us."

Now go and Examine the Book of Ages.

You will now find Pages 4 thru 7.

CHAPTER 1
The Sleeper

Page 5

Just as a hero must perform a heroic deed before he can be named as such, a villain must also do something terrible in order to earn such a title. The Betrayer was not always an evil being and was once even respected for her deeds. Long before the Great Betrayal, (in fact, before the founding of Altador), she earned her place among the twelve Founders by saving the life of King Altador himself.

A terrible menace was plaguing a peaceful farmland, and a hunter (the future king of Altador) journeyed forth to slay the beast. He tracked it back to its lair in a cave at the base of a mountain and there cornered it. Though the beast roared viciously, Altador did not falter.

Page 6

Rather, he notched an arrow and let it fly, striking the beast squarely in the head. Even as the vile creature slumped to the ground, another of its kind snuck up on the unsuspecting Lupe. The noble hunter would have fallen then and there if not for a purple blast of magic. Startled, Altador spun around, just in time to see the other creature collapse. There, standing behind it, was a dark faerie... the Betrayer.

Altador thanked her graciously for saving his life. He had never witnessed such compassion on the part of a dark faerie before, so he bid her to return with him to his village, where they would feast and be praised as heroes.

Page 7

Each carried the head of the beast they had slain to the village, and a grand celebration was held long into the night. Altador, realizing what a unique ally he had acquired, asked her to stay and join him and his companions in fulfilling a dream he had of founding a great city. The Betrayer agreed, and though she would ultimately help to build the kingdom's august capital and serve the council well, nothing can make up for her terrible betrayal. She broke the king's heart, for no sword strikes as deep as the one wielded by a friend....

After examining the Book Of Ages. go back to the Janitor, he will be mad as usual, he says...

The Janitor shouts at you, "HEY! Stop leaving the lights on in the observatory! It's wasteful! I CAN'T STAND WASTEFULNESS!! RAAARGHH!!"

The archivist says, "Another pattern, floating in the clouds? What wonders you find! Perhaps it corresponds to another constellation. Off to the observatory with you!
Then Go back to the Observatory. Click on the telescope to load your scope.

Now it's time to map out the Constellation...

Follow the Steps like you did in with the Sleeper

You can go to Maps and Such to see different ways to do so.

After you finish mapping the Dreamer then go and talk to the Archivist Lenny, On your way out make sure you look at the Ceiling of the Dreamer Statue.

 Archivist Lenny.  He will say:

The archivist says, "Ah, you found another constellation! Most excellent. And another chapter has appeared in the Book of Ages! This one seems to concern Psellia, also known as the Dreamer."

The archivist examines some notes on his desk. "I've been thinking about what's going on. Why these clues are revealing themselves to someone such as yourself. And why this did not happen until after the Darkest Faerie was defeated, and her grip on Altador broken." He shakes his head. "It makes sense, intuitively, but I don't know what's going on. I've been looking through the Archives, trying to find something in our histories that could explain this, but I've been having trouble even finding the histories in all this mess." He shakes his head. "I'll get this place cleaned up one day, I swear..."

You will now find Pages 8 thru 11.

CHAPTER 2
The Dreamer

Page 8

Page 9

Though she lacks the worldwide fame of other Neopian faeries, Psellia is well known and revered for her kindness in Altador. She always does her best to encourage others to achieve and is always there to catch them if they stumble in their lives. A rather inspirational figure, Psellia is known throughout Altador as "the Dreamer."

One day, long before the founding of Altador, Psellia was relaxing on the clouds of Faerieland when a Blumaroo bounced too close to the edge of a cloud and slipped off. Psellia watched in horror as the Blumaroo plunged toward the sea far below.

Page 10

She knew the poor creature would not survive the fall, so she leapt off the cloud and darted downward, fluttering her wings as fast as they could go.

The turbulent sea grew closer and closer, and Psellia could see the Blumaroo's terrified eyes as he desperately flailed his arms toward her. Though her muscles burned with the effort of flying faster than she ever had, the air faerie was determined to catch the falling Neopet before it was too late.

Page 11

Using the last of her strength, Psellia let loose an amazing burst of speed that only an air faerie could manage and grasped the Blumaroo's outstretched hand. With his paw firmly in her grip, Psellia tried to slow their fall, straining at the air until they landed in the ocean with an almost delicate splash. With the last of her energy, Psellia swam to a nearby shore, dragging the Blumaroo safely onto dry land, where they could recover.

This heroic tale spread quickly, and soon thereafter Altador requested that Psellia join him in forming the Kingdom of Altador.

The archivist says, "Ah, Siyana. The First to Rise, as she is called. How fitting that her constellation should be revealed by the rising sun." He chuckles. "I'm afraid I haven't much more to tell you about why this is all happening, though perhaps we can learn from what I haven't found. You see, I've gone through the entire archives twice -- and I can't find a single history book. I can't fathom there being thieves in Altador interested solely in history books, though..." He shakes his head. "But I'll keep looking, and see what I can find."

The archivist clears his throat. "Oh, by the way, if you want to see all your previous clues collected into one place, I've made up a list for you
here."

CHAPTER 3
The First to Rise

Page 12

Page 13

Long ago, when the Kingdom of Altador was little more than a whisper on King Altador's lips, the heroic legend of Siyana the light faerie arose. It is often said that through her actions alone, an entire village was saved from a most dreadful fate.

During her travels, Siyana once stopped at a small, peaceful farming village. The locals were kind, gracious Neopets, so Siyana stayed in their village for many weeks, helping to keep their crops from frosting over in the chilly nights.

One evening, after checking the crops, she spotted a shadowy form moving in the woods.

Page 14

Suspicious, Siyana grabbed a thick blanket to hide her light and trailed the stranger at a distance, deep into the woods, until he joined a group of bandits gathered around a campfire. She flew in as close as she dared and listened from a high branch.

"Well done, scout," said their leader. "Soon that village will be ours!" Siyana dropped the blanket and fled as quickly as she could. One of the bandits spotted her and fired an arrow. A terrible pain shot through her left wing, and she fell to the ground. Though she couldn't fly, the courageous faerie ran as swiftly as her legs would carry her, with the bandits in close pursuit.

Page 15

When she finally reached the village, Siyana was out of breath and could not shout to wake the villagers! Instead, she focused all of her light faerie power to glow as brightly as she could. Thinking the sun had risen, the villagers came outside, and saw the band of thieves approaching. They armed themselves and chased the bandits away for good.

The villagers could hardly express their gratitude to the light faerie. One of the farmers, a Kacheek named Florin, told her that there was a noble Lupe she should perhaps meet. When she did, Siyana the light faerie came to be one of the founders of Altador.

Now go to the Astronomy Club to get your Badge.

The Astronomy Club members once again cheer as you enter the room. The president walks up, a smile plastered across his face. "Gosh, it's really great how you're finding all these constellations so fast. I really wish I knew how you did it." The smile is not in his eyes, though.

Nevertheless, he withdraws a small item from his robes.
"Well, uh, anyway... I suppose you should have this, now that you're obviously a full-fledged astronomer."

Return to the Archivist Lenny

The archivist says, "Ah, yes, a constellation representing Florin, the great Farmer of Altador. Truly, our land has flourished because of his wise oversight in bringing us foodstuffs."

He turns away and coughs gently. "Um... it seems that I'm still having trouble finding any history books in the Archives. I'm beginning to suspect that some magic might be involved. But such magic's do not bear the stain of the Darkest Faerie; I do not believe the missing history books are her doing. I think I shall investigate and see if any other history books can be found within Altador. The Archives are not the only store of knowledge here -- merely the largest, and most impressive!

The archivist clears his throat. "Oh, by the way, if you want to see all your previous clues collected into one place, I've made up a list for you here.

CHAPTER 4
The Farmer

Page 16

Page 17

Not everyone who helped found Altador was a magical faerie, capable of using their natural gifts to help others. In fact, one of the most notable of all the founders was a simple farmer with a good heart...

Florin had lived his whole life on a small farm. Each day he rise with the sun, to tend his crops and feed the Petpets he raised on his farm. Though Florin worked hard from dawn to dusk, he greatly enjoyed his simple life.

One day, while going into town to buy more Petpet feed, Florin noticed a group of farmers talking. Apparently, some strange blight was afflicting their crops, and unless something was done, a whole season of food would be lost.

Page 18

Florin asked one of the farmers to show him one of these sick plants. The farmer led Florin to his nearby field, a third of which had been consumed by some terrible disease that had turned the plants black.

Florin had spent much of his life studying plants. Though his own crops were unaffected, he spent days trudging through dangerous woods, looking for a rare plant that few knew existed.

Page 19

Days later, as the villagers were just about ready to give up hope, Florin returned, carrying a satchel that was filled with a strange herb they had never seen before. The Kacheek quickly ground up the dry herbs and mixed them into a large trough of water. He then instructed the other farmers to take a bucket and pour the water onto their afflicted plants. Within days, the blight had vanished, and though Florin's own crops wilted from neglect, the villagers were more than happy to share their crops with him.

Tales of his selfless deed soon reached others, and that is how Florin came to meet King Altador and become the future overseer of the kingdom's plentiful farms.

Go to the Astronomy Club

The Astronomy Club members greet you warmly as you enter the room... except the club president, who seems a little upset. "Okay, we get it, you're a great astronomer. I mean, four constellations? So quickly? That's just... Are you sure you aren't... cheating, somehow? How could you know so much about the sky, when we've lived here all our lives and never been able to find any constellations?" he grumps.

The archivist says, "There, those dancing ruffians have been taken care of. By sheer coincidence, the leader of their little gang looks just like the nice boy who runs all those clubs here in the Archives." He shakes his head. "Kids these days."

He claps his hands. "Anyway! On to business. I see you've found a fifth constellation: Sasha, the Dancer. And of course another chapter has appeared in the Book of Ages. We're drawing ever closer to completing that book." He shuffles some papers on his desk. "And on that note, it seems that there are no history books to be found within Altador. Not a single one! And what's worse -- nobody can seem to remember any of Altador's history. Not even me!" He shudders. "So much knowledge, stolen away somehow. We must find out who is responsible and stop them! Altador's knowledge must be restored!"

The archivist clears his throat. "Oh, by the way, if you want to see all your previous clues collected into one place, I've made up a list for you
here."

CHAPTER 5
The Dancer

Page 20

Page 21

The true worth of a kingdom, it is said, should not be judged by the wealth of its treasury, but by the happiness of its people. An excellent example of this lesson can be found in the form of Sasha the Dancer, a Cybunny who had the gift of indomitable spirit.

A great festival was once planned in the quiet town where Sasha grew up. For months, the villagers toiled so that their festival would be the grandest ever. Though they worked hard all day at their normal jobs, the villagers labored long into the night to set up a grand stage and saved as much of their food as they could for the gala event.

When the day of the festival finally arrived, the town was buzzing with excitement.

Page 22

At last they would enjoy the fruits of their labor, sing, dance, and get a much-needed break from their daily lives. But when the festival was just hours away, an extremely fierce set of winds began to blow. The town elders herded everyone into a large basement below the town hall for safety.

For hours, Sasha sang to the children and kept them calm as the adults fretted and worried. After the howling wind quieted down, the townsfolk pushed open the trapdoor that led to the basement, only to find that their beloved bandstand and food stores for the celebration had been utterly destroyed.

Page 23

Seemingly, the spirit of their community had been destroyed, too. A dark cloud seemed to hang over them. But that's when the Cybunny stepped forward, despite the chaos...

...and began to dance, as if she were on a beautiful stage. The villagers were shocked, but soon began to smile and join Sasha's dancing. The sound of their revelry was heard well into the night. It wasn't long before the future King Altador came to the village, seeking the dancing Cybunny named Sasha. Altador understood the power of hope and inspiration, so he warmly welcomed her to be a part of his council.

After you finish with your Dancer Constelation the Janitor shouts, "My favorite underground dance club got closed down by that stinking' Archivist! GRAARGH, THAT MAKES ME SO ANGRY!!!" He hurls his mop to the floor and stamps his feet.

Return to the Archivist Lenny

The archivist says, "Ah, I should have suspected -- Marak, the Wave, revealed by the sea. Excellent work. And as usual, another chapter of heroic deeds has appeared in the book."

He sits down at his desk and sighs. "This peculiar situation we're in seems to have created a logical dilemma. I've done some research, and examined the nature of the magic involved. It seems that there are two, identical magic's present. One is that which has stolen our history, and the other is that which reveals these clues. They are the same magic. And neither magic feels hostile in any way; but nonetheless, whoever has perpetrated these magic's has stolen our history from us. That seems to me an unforgivable crime!" He shakes his head sadly.

"I've also taken a trip to the Hall of Heroes, and looked at the gems embedded in the ceiling above each statue. Half of them are now alight; and it is not unreasonable to guess that we will find more clues, and have the remaining constellations revealed. But in what order? And to what purpose? What is going to be revealed?"

The archivist clears his throat. "Oh, by the way, if you want to see all your previous clues collected into one place, I've made up a list for you

Page 24

Page 25

The courage to lead is a trait that few possess, and the ability to lead well is even rarer. Marak, the leader of a peaceful clan of Peophins, was one blessed with this ability...

Marak ruled over a small underwater village at the base of a drop-off just beyond the shore. His clan had coexisted peacefully with a town of fishermen who had lived on the coast for many years. Of late, however, due to their over-fishing, food was becoming scarce. The land folk blamed the shortage on the Peophins. Though Marak tried to reach a peace agreement with the leader of the fishermen, hostility between the two camps escalated quickly.

Page 26

One day, giant rocks tumbled from atop the cliff, smashing several homes. Marak investigated, and was horrified to learn that the surface-dwellers had rolled the giant boulders down onto his village! Infuriated by this senseless act, Marak returned to his village and organized for battle.

Soon, the village's entire population was spread out in a long line, three Peophins deep, just below the water's surface. At Marak's signal, they swam forward as fast as they could, creating a huge wave that washed the fishermen away from the rocks they'd been pushing into the sea. Both sides continued battling into the evening. Tired, wet, and hungry, the fishermen finally gave up.

Page 27

Though Marak was still angry, he did not want to leave a mutual hatred that would only fester, so he went ashore and spoke with the fishermen's leader. He reasoned that continuing like this was senseless. Persuaded by the Peophin's visit, the town leader agreed to work with Marak to find a peaceful solution.

A few years later, King Altador heard the tale of Marak's strong leadership, and offered to let the Peophin and his clan live off the shore of what would become the city of Altador.

After go to the Astronomy Club

The Astronomy Club members greet you warmly as you enter the room... except the club president, who ignores you completely.

The other club members come over to you. The Wocky clears her throat. "We just wanted to say that we appreciate all the great work you're doing for the Astronomy Club. Finding those constellations has really made everyone impressed with us! So, because of that, we got together -- except for Mr. Pouty over there --" She glares at the club president. "--and got you this!"

Broken Astrolabe

The Wocky continues, "Sorry it's broken, but we don't have a lot of money. In fact, we found it in the storage closet here... But it's still a cool little item, isn't it?"

The definition:     Astrolabe: a compact instrument used to observe and calculate the position of celestial bodies.
It makes sense that you could see the stars better when using it.
It was replaced by another instrument, so it's older and less effective than the new instrument. Interesting, since Altador is supposed to be the most innovative of all Neopian cities.

"Psst... hey, you. You look like someone who'd be interested in joining..." He glances around furtively and whispers. "Punch Club. And before you do, you have to remember that the first rule of Punch Club is that you don't talk about Punch Club... unless someone asks, then you can talk about it. Just don't bring it up. Unless you overhear someone else talking about it, because, like, they clearly already know about it." He nods, agreeing with himself. You get the impression that this Grarrl is not entirely stable.

"Would you like some punch?"

Go to Club with the Grarrl, you will see 3 punch bowls on table... You must  click a combination of  3 to make the GOLD Goblet on the table clickable.

Number the bowls from left to right... 1, 2, 3

these are possible combinations:
 111 112 113
121 122 123
131 132 133
211 212 213
221 222 223
231 232 233
311 312 313
321 322 323
331 332 332

These are some of the responses that the Grarrl will say:
You enjoy a nice sip of punch.
What a refreshing drink of punch.
A punch-heavy portfolio pays off for the thirsty investor.
Mmm, that's some tasty punch!
Hooray! Punch!

You might have to test all the combos until one works

be careful as you click make sure to CHECK gold goblet after each set...

you do not need to leave after you try one combo, just keep trying until you find the right combo

If you are kicked out of the Club while trying, it means the Grarrl has moved and you need to look for him all over again before you can search for your combo.

Once you click the gold goblet,

Click on the star and you will see the next constellation... Torakor, the Gladiator

Return to the Archivist Lenny

The archivist says, "Another clue, on a drinking vessel? How strange... I don't think any of our heroes are called 'The Thirsty' or anything like that. I wonder what that shape is... Well, you'd better go find the constellation."

The archivist clears his throat. "Oh, by the way, if you want to see all your previous clues collected into one place, I've made up a list for you here."

Now it's time to map out the Constellation...

Follow the Steps like you did in with the Wave

You can go to Maps and Such to see different ways to do so.

Go back to the Observatory and click on the Wave Statue and look at the ceiling.

Return to the Archivist Lenny

The archivist says, "Ah, of course, I should have recognized it. A shield, for Torakor, the Gladiator. And found at the Coliseum, no less. Of course, the Book of Ages has gained a new chapter."

"Now, this is very important, so pay attention. I've delved even deeper into the magic's that have stolen our history, and I've realized that they seem very familiar. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I've definitely seen magic like this before. The problem is that what the magic's most remind me of are... well... I don't know who, specifically, but I believe they are similar to magic's wielded by one of the Heroes of Altador. I don't know who, though; all of the Heroes use magic to some degree or other, and I don't know if I can identify who, precisely, might have created the magic in question here."

He sighs.
"The problem, of course, is that if one of the Heroes is responsible for the magic's that have stolen our history... well, that would be a great tragedy. Imagine! Another betrayer among the ranks of the Heroes! But who could it be?"

The archivist clears his throat.
"Oh, by the way, if you want to see all your previous clues collected into one place, I've made up a list for you here."

CHAPTER 7
The Gladiator

You will now find Pages 28 thru 31.

Page 29

Physical strength, coupled with a strong sense of virtue, is often lacking in this world. One who steps forward and demonstrates both will quickly become a legend. Such is the tale of Torakor, the Gladiator.

In the old days, armies often collided, at a great cost of money and lives. Sometimes, to spare those costs, each army would send forth its greatest warrior and let a one-on-one battle decide the victor. A Grarrl named Torakor was the strongest warrior in one such army, and he won many victories for his commanding general. With Torakor faithfully at his side, the general thought his army to be invincible, and decided to expand his territories. Torakor was troubled by this, but who was he to question his leader?

Page 30

One day, the army came to a small village the general wanted to conquer. His huge army surrounded the village, and he shouted a challenge to the townsfolk. "Who will face my champion? Send forth your greatest warrior, or bow before me!" All was silent until a quivering Shoyru stepped forward, armed with only a garden hoe. The army burst into laughter--except Torakor. He approached the Shoyru, then turned to face his own army.

"I will fight for them," Torakor stated. "Step forth, any who think they can best me in battle."

His general shouted, enraged. "Eliminate this traitor, at once!"

Page 31

Mortified by the order to attack one of their own--thousands against one, no less--the warriors lost confidence in the general's leadership, just as Torakor had. One by one, the soldiers joined the Grarrl, facing outward from the village. Torakor, through strength of virtue alone, had won his own army.

Word spread quickly of a mighty army that protected villages instead of sacking them. It wasn't long before Torakor received a letter, informing him that a new city could use an army such as his. Torakor gladly accepted.

After go to the Astronomy Club

The Astronomy Club members greet you warmly as you enter the room... except the club president, who ignores you completely and mutters imprecations under his breath.

A couple of the other club members--the Wocky and the Korbat--come over to you. They motion you over to a corner of the room.
"Listen, we're all pretty unhappy with how the club president is running this place. I mean, we can do what we want, mostly, but he's just really grouchy and being a jerk lately. We just wanted to let you know that, um..." She glances around furtively. "He may not be the club president for much longer, if you know what I mean." She winks meaningfully at you, then goes back to her star charts.

Now it's time to map out the Constellation...

Follow the Steps like you did in with the Gladiator

You can go to Maps and Such to see different ways to do so.

Go back to the Observatory and click on the Collectors' Statue and look at the ceiling.

Return to the Archivist Lenny

The archivist says, "As I suspected: Gordos, the Collector. There are only a few gems unlit on the ceiling of the Hall of Heroes, so that narrows down which Hero's constellation is to be found next."

He coughs. "And in that vein, I'm examining the remaining Heroes, the ones whose gems have not yet been lit. Fauna, the Gatherer; Kelland, the Thief; Jerdana, the Protector; and of course, Altador himself. I am forced to suspect that one of these Heroes may have been the traitor I spoke of before."

"I know it is unthinkable that one of them might have stolen our history, but I see no way around it. Kelland is an obvious suspect; could he have gone back to the thieving ways of his youth? Or perhaps Jerdana's power has grown to the point where she desires to challenge Altador for the kingdom. Fauna, well, I can't think of why she would do something like this... maybe beneath her outward appearance of kindness there lurks a heart of malice. And Altador himself, well... it would be unfathomable that he might destroy the history of his own kingdom, but he might have had reason. Shame, perhaps, over letting the Darkest Faerie conquer the kingdom..." He shakes his head sadly. "It is a sudden betrayal that I inevitably curse."

The archivist clears his throat. "Oh, by the way, if you want to see all your previous clues collected into one place, I've made up a list for you here."

CHAPTER 8
The Collector

You will now find Pages 32 thru 35.

Page 32

Page 33

When it comes to financial dealings, it is very easy for one's morals to slip, since greed is a very powerful and terrible desire. Those who can resist its call are greatly valued for their honesty. That is why Gordos, our Skeith tax collector, is always smiled upon--even when he comes to collect.

Before Gordos helped to found Altador, he served a city that severely taxed its citizens. He felt bad for taking such a large portion of everyone's earnings, but the governor insisted that every Neopoints was being put to good use and that high taxes were necessary to keep the city prosperous and growing.

Page 34

Gordos took the governor at his word, but eventually he noticed that the city was falling into ruin. Crime had escalated, and many went to sleep hungry. Wondering why a city with so much tax revenue was not flourishing, Gordos went to talk to the governor. When he was denied entrance, Gordos pushed his way into the governor's home... and was shocked to see it lavishly decorated. Expensive art and exquisite rugs lined the rooms. Golden plates and goblets were set on a table with enough food for thirty townspeople.

Page 35

Gordos clenched his teeth. So this was where the tax money had gone? To gold platters for the governor to dine upon while the people starved? Gordos confronted the governor, who attempted to bribe him, offering to share his riches if Gordos kept quiet. But Gordos would have none of that. He alerted the police, and had the governor removed from office. Gordos then sold the luxury items, returned the profits to the people, and reduced the tax rate to a fifth of what it had been.

Word of Gordos's deeds soon came to the attention of King Altador, and before the next new moon, the brave tax collector was in the council of an honest leader.

After go to the Astronomy Club

The Astronomy Club members greet you warmly as you enter the room... except the club president, who glares daggers at you and growls wordlessly.

The Wocky, Korbat, and Buzz intercept you as soon as you enter. "Look, we're about to make our move. He's getting intolerable; he won't even speak to any of us, he just grunts at us, and that's only when he bothers to notice that we exist at all. We can't take this. Just watch for the signal, when we take over the club from him."

Phase Eleven
Kelland, the Thief

Go to the Archives you will see the Lenny
It's that Lenny from the Lenny Conundrum!
"Hey, you! Listen, you know Finneus, the archivist, right? I heard him say you've been helping him with some kind of... history puzzle, or something. I don't know, but anyway. Finneus is my uncle, and I want to give him a special surprise for his birthday, which is coming up soon. It's the fourteenth day after the square root of the number of Grundos you find in the--er, sorry, never mind. Force of habit. Anyway, look, here's what I want to do: He's got this favorite Meepit plushie of his, yeah? And I want to decorate it all nice for his birthday."

He grumps. "But I want it to be a surprise! He's always in that office of his, so I can't get a hold of it. If I hang around until he turns his back, he'll get suspicious. But since you're always in there, you could get it without him noticing. So, can you help me?"

Now go and see the Archivist Lenny
Click on the vase with the white feather in it behind the Archivist.

You throw a pebble at the vase. The archivist spins around at the sound of something plinking against the vase. "What? What's was that? Did you hear something?"
Now Click on the Meepit!
The archivist shrugs and turns back around. "Oh well. I'm just hearing things as I get old, I suppose. Say, I wonder where I put that Meepit plushie..."
Now return to the Archives.
Now click on the door with the handle!

Click the top CENTER door three times (x 3)
Now click on the SMALL door on the right side of the center door.
How interesting... a box of Meepit plushies. This must be where the Archivist keeps getting his replacements! "Now click on Hide The Box!"
You hide the box of Meepit plushies in another closet. Now the Archivist will never find them!

Now go back to the
Archivist Lenny
The archivist frowns as you enter. "Hm, I seem to have misplaced my box of replacement Meepit plushies. I only have one other one... my favorite." He pulls a battered old Meepit plushie from a locked cabinet, and sniffles as he examines it. "This little guy was the first Meepit plushie I ever bought!"

The archivist clears his throat.
"Oh, by the way, if you want to see all your previous clues collected into one place, I've made up a list for you here."
Click on the vase AGAIN with the white feather in it behind the Archivist.
You throw a pebble at the vase. The archivist spins around at the sound of something plinking against the vase. "What? What's was that? Did you hear something?"
Now Click on the Meepit AGAIN!
The archivist shrugs and turns back around. "Oh well. I'm just hearing things as I get old, I suppose. Oh no! My favorite Meepit plushie is gone!" He sobs, dismayed.

Return to the Lenny from the Lenny Conundrum and click on him.

"Excellent!" he cheers as you bring him Finneus's favorite Meepit plushie. "This is the real one. Now, let me just put this ribbon on it--" RRRRIP! "Uh oh."
Click on the Uh, oh.
"Oh no! I tore the Meepit's head off! Woe!" He looks down at the headless Meepit plushie. "I--hey, what's this?" He reaches into the plushie and pulls out an old, dull, rusted dagger that was hidden inside the plushie. "Huh, some kind of dagger stored inside the plushie. How weird. Oh well. I guess you better give this plushie back to Finneus. I hope he's not mad at me!"
Click on the Dagger!

Now it's time to map out the Constellation...

Follow the Steps like you did in with the Collector

You can go to Maps and Such to see different ways to do so.

Go back to the Observatory and click on the Thief's Statue and look at the ceiling.

Return to the Archivist Lenny

The archivist says, "Naturally, Kelland, the Thief, would have his constellation found on a dagger. Indeed."

He lets out a sigh. "This would seem to remove Kelland from the list of suspects. It would have made the most sense, 'twere it him, but alas. I still cannot accept that Fauna, Jerdana, or even Altador himself could be responsible for this!" He blinks. "Unless... wait a moment... something is stirring in my memory..." He glances up at the ceiling for a moment, as if peering into the distance. "Ah HA!" he shouts. "Yes, I think I know where to look. This search may bear no fruit, but I must try. I will have to go into the archives for a while. But continue your search; there are only three constellations left to find, and we may not have much time left."

The archivist clears his throat. "Oh, by the way, if you want to see all your previous clues collected into one place, I've made up a list for you here."

CHAPTER 9
The Thief

You will now find Pages 36 thru 39.

Page 36

Page 37

There is an old saying that it takes a thief to catch a thief. There is some truth to this old adage, as was proven by Kelland, the Techo thief...

Born into a life of thievery, Kelland never questioned his role in society, much less whether what he did was right or wrong. Stealing was simply a part of his nature. One day, he watched as a tired Elephante collected his weekly wages, and headed down a dark, empty alley.

Moments later, an Aisha jumped from a nearby rooftop, grabbed the Elephante's small coin purse, and escaped into the shadows, leaving the poor worker helpless. For the first time in his life, Kelland felt something stir inside of him. Was it sympathy?

Page 38

When he returned to the thieves' den later that night, Kelland saw the Aisha thief lounging about.

Disgusted, Kelland walked past the Aisha, and using his great stealth, stole the coin pouch back. Quietly, the Techo returned to the streets, to where he had seen the Elephante sullenly trudge home. Kelland placed the pouch on the Elephante's doorstep and knocked, then leapt onto the roof. Below, he heard the door open, followed by a gasp of joy.

Page 39

The Elephante looked around, but saw no one. "Whoever returned this," he said into the cold night, "has my eternal gratitude. Thank you." He left a few of the coins on his doorstep and closed the door. Kelland dropped to the street and picked up the coins. He felt oddly fulfilled, something his life of crime had never brought him.

From that moment on, the Techo used his skills for good whenever possible, doing his best to ensure that the working poor did not suffer from crime. Word soon spread about this reformed thief, and it wasn't long before a wise Lupe asked him to join his council, for light from darkness is a rare quality indeed.

After examining the Book Of Ages
Go back to the Janitor, he will be mad as usual...
The janitor hurls a book of Lenny Conundrums to the floor and shouts,
"RARRRGHH!! THESE CONUNDRUMS ARE TOO HARD!! I'LL CRUSH THAT LENNY IF I SEE HIM!!"
After go to the Astronomy Club

The Astronomy Club members greet you warmly as you enter the room... except the club president, who grabs a protractor and threatens you with it every time you come near him.

The other club members give you overly casual nods. The Wocky sidles up and whispers, "Don't worry, we'll be making our move soon. In the meantime, hang onto this. And don't ask where I got it."

The Astronomy Club
The Wocky explains, "Let's just say it might come in handy later on. Or it might not." She winks and wanders away.
